“Nailed It”

During our first trip to Instututo Ana Maria Casillas in Tepatitlan Mexico. We had the pleasure of meeting the students that live full-time at the school. They become residents when, for a variety of reasons, their parents are not able to support them or if they were removed from their home to be placed in the care of the school.

Despite the often unfortunate circumstance that have brought them together. There is an overwhelming sense of family and support among the students. The kids are always sharing, helping the younger students, or playing in groups. There toys and recreational items are certainly more limited than many other kids today. However, they don’t seem to mind the lack of “toys” when they are using their imaginations.

In this area of the courtyard where the kids play. Some of the girls that live at the school were working on their handstands against the wall and hanging upside down in an old goal just out of frame.

25 of the unpoppable futbols were donated this day. As well as, arts supplies and personal hygiene items for all of the kids and for stock.
